Action Menus can be found at the top of every XWiki page in view mode.

XWiki Enterprise 2.1 introduces a complete redesign for the action menus. The top menu has been split into 2:

  • one for wiki and space level actions
  • one for page level actions

Administration

  • Administer your Wiki from the dedicated Wiki menu
  • Similarly, administer a space from the Space menu located at top of the page

Notifications

  • Watch a page straight at the page level
  • When you click on the "Watch" button the star will turn yellow, indicating you are now watching the page

  • Watch the wiki from the Wiki menu.
  • Watch the current space from the Space menu.

  • Manage your watchlist from the "Administrator" menu

  • In the previous versions you can perform the actions (watching the wiki, spaces and pages; managing your watchlist) from the "Watch" menu at the top of the page

Create new pages and spaces

  • Create a new space from the wiki menu at the top of the page
  • Create a new page from the space menu. Here you may also choose to create a page from an office document

  • In the previous versions these actions are performed from the "Create" menu at the top of the page

Edit pages

  • Page editing is now performed at the page level

  • In the previous versions editing is done from the menu at the top of the page

Export pages

  • Similar to page editing, the export menu is now displayed at a page level

More Actions

  • In XWiki you can:
    • See a print preview of a page
    • "Delete", "Rename" and "Copy" a document
  • Since these actions are all page related they have been moved to the "More Actions" menu at the page level
  • In addition the ability to view the source of a page has been reinstated
